Psycho Fest Las Vegas-Preview
Getting ready for the yearly Vegas Extreme music festival!
Ah yes. My big trip to the yearly festival known as Psycho Fest is approaching. I am really excited although the overall line up has some real crap bands over the 3 days. I mean, damn, Bone Thugs Harmony, and Method Man? I don't want any hip-hop near my metal. Especially some over the hill 90's crap. That is the big problem I notice about this festival. They are trying to expand the line up each year, to reach the broadest audience possible. I would love to see much more pure metal bands. Really want to skip any sludge, or deathcore, and even the stoner bands. Although, I am looking forward to seeing Belzebong play. I went in 2017 when King Diamond headlined the final night. This will be my second time attending. It's funny that this year Mercyful Fate will be headlining Sunday night. I can't wait to see them! Even though the only original members are King Diamond, and Hank Shermann, it still should be epic. The first two full length Fate albums, rank up there in my all-time Heavy Metal greatest list. It will also be great to see Emperor. I'm not the biggest fan, but never got to see them back in the day. So this is nice. Other stand outs for me are Samael, MGLA, Tribulation, Nuclear Assault, and Cirith Ungol. Best memory of my first trip, was seeing this metalhead passed out on one of the video poker machine seats! Dude was wearing a Bathory shirt, and 3 security guards were standing around wondering what to do. Classic. Ok, there will be another post after the event. Wish me a fun trip!
